Thanks to Disney throwing the equivalent of a European annual GDP budget at 20th Century FOX, the X-Men are coming home to Marvel. While it’ll still be years before we see the iconic X symbol or even the unsheathing of a trio of Adamantium claws from the burly arms of a certain wanderer, one thing is for certain: The X-Men are going to be given the chance to shine in comic books once again.

These days if studios want to reboot a classic, but make it different at the same time, they tend to just go for an R-rated approach. Or you could say they are Ryan Reynolds-ing it.

That massive Disney/Fox merger is a lot closer to happening as details on how the merger will take place has reportedly being revealed to shareholders before their official vote on the matter.

2018 was supposed to be the year of the X-Men. At least for Fox, as we already know that 2018 is the year of the MCU. It looks like Fox is not even going to try compete with that behemoth though and instead of three big movies, the only X-Men movie we will be getting is Deadpool 2.
