Call of Duty is going mobile! No, it’s not a plug for a new game on the Nintendo Switch called Call of Duty: Rock out with Your Black Ops out, but rather a new direction for the franchise as it heads into the realm of Android and iOS.

It’s 2019, load shedding is once again a problem and too many terrible people are doing equally terrible things. I ain’t worried though, because at least I can sit back and bask in the glory that is another FromSoftware game, which happens to be out rather soon. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice looks like a blast and then some, taking FromSoftware’s trademark style of risk over reward and adding a few interesting wrinkles to the formula.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an action-RPG that feels more fluid, agile and boasts an aesthetic that looks simply marvellous when compared to previous FromSoftware games. The lush colours of Japan burst forth beautifully in this game, with the atmosphere being especially good whenever you have to take on a boss.

Activision-Blizzard warns investors that recent mass layoffs “could negatively impact business”

By Geoffrey Tim

Last month, despite making record revenue, Activision-Blizzard laid off 8 per cent of its global workforce, leaving nearly eight hundred people out of work. The large-scale restructuring is an attempt to appease shareholders by cutting expenses. In its Form 10-K report, however, the company has admitted that the layoffs might not pad executive and shareholder wallets as much as anticipated – and that shockingly, firing a bunch of people may have a negative impact on staff morale.

Looks like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is arriving this year

By Darryn Bonthuys

If you gave Michael Bay an unlimited budget, Modern Warfare 2 would have been the result, albeit with slightly less Aerosmith. What I’m saying is, is that the game is chuffing good and deserving of a second chance to shine ten years after it was first released. Which is probably what’s going to be happening, as a recent listing on the PEGI website for Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was briefly put up on that website before it was taken down.

By Geoffrey Tim

It’s that time of the year where the great big Triple-A publishers release their financials for the quarter, talking about how much money they made in one breath, while firing close to ten percent of their workforce with the next. It’s Ubisoft’s turn at bat with an earnings report, but I’m happy to say that while the company has also had an increase in earnings, it hasn’t sent anybody to the unemployment line.
