Just like the Easter bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the Queen of England, I still refuse to believe in the existence of the Borderlands movie. It has a cast which is punching well above its weight, and if the first teaser image of Cate Blanchett as the Siren Lillith is anything to go by, this Eli Roth-directed film is going to win plenty of love from fans for at least nailing the look of its characters properly.

Never in a million years did I expect to see Gearbox’s cult classic loot ‘n shooter Borderlands make it to the big screen, let alone with a cast and crew that is the very definition of punching above your weight class.

Borderlands originale was an easy 10-hour game and triple that with its superb DLC, whereas Borderlands 2 gobbled up dozens of hours with a similar format, larger world and expansions threw fascinating new wrinkles into the game.
