An exciting year lays ahead for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth as Tides of Vengeance launched early December and will the be the first major content patch for the new expansion.

A lot of lessons were learnt during the days of The Division, not the least of which was focused on how to keep players around long after the end credits had rolled. Lessons which are clearly being applied to The Division 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Year two of Destiny 2 is looking to shake its content formula up a bit, with a new system for delivering content that is kind of the same but it isn’t. Same same, but different. But same. Called the Annual Pass, Bungie’s banking on this idea as a method to keep players invested emotionally and financially in Destiny 2 once Forsaken launches in September.

That first foray into New York in The Division will likely see scores of agents leave that city soon, as Ubisoft is pushing forward on a sequel later this year. And this time, there’s going to be a lot more to do after the credits have rolled.

The road ahead for Destiny 2? 6v6 Crucible matches, reworked shaders and a whole lot more in the cosmetic department for the sandbox shooter.

Bungie needs to keep its pool of Guardians active and interested. After a few weeks of being incommunicado, Bungie and Destiny 2 game director Christopher Barrett broke their silence with a new look at the months ahead of Guardians.

Six episodes of intrigue, espionage and death that gives players so many tools with which to accomplish their objectives.
