Destiny 2’s new worlds are massive. You already saw a taste of the European Dead Zone, whose windings roads lead into Red Legion beachheads and Fallen scavenger camps. Here’s a look then at Nessus, a new planet found beyond the Reef. A minor planet of the Centaur class, the planetoid is filled with all manner of Vex threats and Red Legion reinforcements.

Your gear is what defines you in Destiny, as the hunt for Exotic and Legendary-status weapons increase the ever-important numbers associated with your character. In Destiny the first, Guardians could achieve a Light Level of 400 by the time that they’d accomplished everything possible in the Rise of Iron expansion. In Destiny 2, that number won’t be achievable. Not yet anyway.

New planets, new guns and new enemies to pop in the face. Did I mention that there are new guns as well? Because they’re awesome. Want in on this? Don’t have the cash to flash on Destiny 2? Then we’ve got something for you. Our buddies over at Megarom Interactive have supplied us with a limited edition of Destiny 2 on PS4, which comes with some bonus blood splatter on it from the office fight that erupted around how cool it is.

Confused about the plot of Destiny 2? It’s not that hard to really understand the setup: Everything you know and loved is dead. Even puppies, and it’s time to punch Dominus Ghaul right in his stupid face with as many bullets as possible. That’s the note that the latest live-action trailer for Destiny 2 starts off with, which is surprisingly funnier than you’d expect it to be as Bungie’s sequel cycles in what has become a Hollywood staple for live-action trailers: A catchy song from yesteryear with some expensive visual effects.

Beyond the community and people who’ll most likely introduce an exotic Pulse Rifle that fires off sound effects based on Randy “Macho Man” Savage ring interviews (OOOOH YEAAH I’VE BEEN TO THE DANGER ZONE FUNKY LIKE A MONKEY!), there’s the visual aspect of this sequel. Destiny 2 on PC is going to look mindblowing on PC when compared to even the latest consoles that Microsoft and Sony have trotted out. It’ll sear your retinas, provided that you have a PC that’s capable of rendering those graphics in the highest of fidelities. I don’t have such a PC.

Adventures are pretty much lunchtime snacks within Destiny 2. They won’t break the bank on your time, consuming around 10-15 minutes of action from you and taking place in the world where you activate them.

Last week’s trip to Seattle revealed a new side to earning better gear in Destiny 2: Tokens. Specifically European Dead Zone Tokens, which could be used to unlock higher tiers of respect (RESPECT!) from local frontier scout and gentleman sniper Devrim Kay.

Public Events are no longer an enigma. You bring up your Destination Map, have a gander and you’ll see exactly when the next encounter kicks off. It’s one hell of a time-saving move, one that takes the grind out of Destiny 2 further and delivers on more immediate action. Here’s a trio of them for you to watch.
