On the surface, Marvel’s Avengers looks like your stock standard live service game: Several characters and classes to choose from, a whole lot of gear to chase down so that you’ll always have a mathematical edge in combat and a whole lot cannon fodder to punch your way through. Last night’s war table event finally shed light on one of the other modes that’ll be coming with the game in September: A properly chunky co-op selection of missions known as Warzones.

Back in 2014, IGN reported that Naughty Dog had forced creative powerhouse Amy Hennig out of the studio, with Naughty Dog’s big cheeses Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley being responsible for her departure. That was all an unsubstantiated rumour, according to new revelations.

Marvel’s Avengers will have free PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades

Square Enix has officially confirmed that Marvel’s Avengers will be up for a free upgrade from PS4 and Xbox One to PS5 and Xbox Series X, when said versions arrive on those machines. Players will be able to carry over their save-games and progression, with cross-generation multiplayer within the same console family also being supported.
