Over on Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb’s podcast, Director of Xbox program management Jason Ronald detailed the upcoming audio features that’ll be present within the Xbox Series X. While dedicated hardware acceleration for audio was a topic teased for GDC not too long ago (Like that’s going to be happening this year), Ronald revealed that Microsoft is taking sound design a lot more seriously with new technology that he described as audio ray tracing.

Blizzard promised fans that they’d not only listen to their feedback, they’ll be acting on it and introduce some cha-cha-changes to Diablo IV during its incubation phase as development heats up. The first of those changes were revealed a few hours ago, within the company’s first of several promised quarterly updates. Based on feedback from the BlizzCon 2019 showfloor where fans got an early taste of the game, Blizzard’s first focus going forward is on the how of the game and its controls, as the original setup wasn’t too popular with anyone who went hands-on with the product.

It may sound like the most outlandish method ever for rebooting for a computer with finger aerobics, but for anyone who played a Konami game in the last 30 years they know exactly what the end result of that code is. A cheat code for anyone having a hard time in ye olde video games of yesteryear, the Konami code is the legacy of video game developer Kazuhisa Hashimoto and was first introduced inside of Gradius in the 1980s.

The survival aspects that were hyped ahead of Breakpoint’s launch don’t offer much other than an annoying limp should you cock up in battle, and the tiered loot system is alright at best. Ubisoft has promised a fix for those legitimate criticisms, one that was expected by the end of February but it looks like this new immersive mode is taking a little longer to be perfectly cooked.
