At the time, many people assumed they had simply been wiped out and they began to fade into wasteland legend. In reality, they had found a higher calling; a strange woman named Iris promised them power and glory if they did everything she said.

Just like every year before it, Bungie has a few BIG changes in store for Destiny 2. Some of these changes are good! With an eye on growing the fanbase by making a large chunk of the base game free and tailoring events to give the series a soft reset for newcomers and veterans alike, the Shadowkeep era will be Bungie’s biggest effort yet at ensuring that Destiny has a future without the lucrative purse of Activision steering the franchise. Some of those other changes…are not so good.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 had just been released and something was rotten in the state of Denmark. Loot boxes were out of control, the chances of unlocking a character to use in a multiplayer game required a grind of note and in a spot of damage control, EA’s mystery community manager of reddit left a comment that had players fuming. A comment that would go on to make history.
