Destiny 2’s first expansion launches in early December. Called the Curse of Osiris, it focuses on a Guardian who has been referenced since the beginning of Destiny 2, a renegade back from exile and ready to draft in some new soldiers against his war with the Vex. Osiris may have only had a few seconds of screen-time in last night’s trailer, but that teaser still gave plenty of clues away as to what to expect when the expansion launches. Let’s have a look then.

It’s time to choose a side. Destiny 2 is dipping into an age-old debate, as the dust of the Red War has settled as the Tower’s numerous factions re-emerge into the spotlight once again. Back in Destiny 1, players could pledge their allegiance to one of several organisations who were notoriously stingy with their handouts of themed loot. In Destiny 2, those factions are all vying for your attention again, appealing to that one common denominator in all Guardians: The urge to earn more powerful loot.

This week’s Injustice 2 Multiverse challenge is a great one that I’m cranking away on. Boot up the Multiverse and head to “The War To End All Wars” and you’ll be able to battle it out for Wonder Woman movie gear. The ladders all lead to a culmination with Cheetah, and each one adds level-specific gear to your arsenal based on Gal Gadot’s gladiatorial outfit to your armory.

Titans wore bulky suits of armour that made them the first and last line of defense against the darkness, Hunters stuck to lighter arrangements of heavy-duty fabrics and lightweight protection to give them an agile edge in combat and Warlocks proudly wore their scholarly pursuits upon their immaculate sleeves. To put it short, Guardians were stylin’ and profilin’ across the rings of Saturn and the red sands of Mars. In Destiny 2? That style has evolved even further.

Maybe you’re a warlock who wields the best 400 Light guns that Glimmer can buy or maybe you’re a Hunter who runs around the Tower in the fashionable Days of Iron armour set. It has taken hours upon hours to get to that point within Destiny, months of grafting and Raids that didn’t always fork out the rewards that you were hungry for. Well it’s time to start all over again in Destiny 2.
