Jack "The Joker" Napier is a man with a plan to save Gotham, and he can’t do it behind the mask of a harlequin of hate. Gotham needs a hero who the people can rally behind, and it certainly isn;t the dark knight in Batman: White Knight.

Telltale continues to define their vision for the dark knight and Gotham, as Batman’s war against crime pulls no punches while also setting itself up for a showdown that’ll leave the Caped Crusader shaken to his core.

Snyder’s run on Batman looks to be coming to a temporary end though. With Metal currently unfolding as Batman faces his worst fears made real in the form of a league of evil Dark Knights, Snyder is hoping to create an ending for his Batman in Batman: Last Knight. At the New York Comic Con, Snyder spoke about how Grant Morrison once advised that he give his superheroes “a birth and a death.”

That’s the rumour according to Deadline, who say that an origin film starring the harlequin of hate is now in “the early stages” of planning over at Warner Bros.

Season one of Telltale's Batman game was brilliant in the manner that it managed to craft a story which wrapped up most loose ends. A loose end who’ll soon pop his giggling face into the plot, as the Batman returns with a new look and a rebuilt base of operations just in time to stop a Riddler who really really enjoys watching SAW movies lately.
