When Fortnite’s previous chapter ended, it sucked the game’s entire map into a vortex. It was a fantastic bit of server maintenance and game overhaul disguised as a marketing stunt, and it was sheer genius all round. Unfortunately, a bit of the event’s impact was lessened, thanks to a series of leaks. The game’s second chapter was unceremoniously leaked by the Italian Apple store, but it’s an earlier leak that Epic is taking umbrage with.

Canadian law firm Calex Légal is preparing a class-action lawsuit against Fortnite maker Epic Games, accusing the developer of "knowingly" creating a "very, very addictive game."

Last year, Epic Games was subject to a data breach that potentially exposed login details for millions of user accounts. The breach came through an exploit that allowed attackers to steal credentials through single link clicks. As Check Point Research detailed when the 2018 attacks were acknowledged in January this year:

The streaming service is looking to permanently ban all the users involved in streaming offensive content on the Artifactt channel citing breaches in their terms and conditions.

Iron Maiden’s holding company is none too pleased with the fact that the 3D Realms logo and marketing for Ion Maiden bears a certain resemblance to the intellectual property of the band and they’re throwing a legal haymaker that claims that the game is “an effort to confuse consumers into believing Defendant’s products and services are somehow affiliated with or approved by Iron Maiden”.
