Pop culture powerhouse Mondo is giving Doom Guy the sixth scale treatment, shrinking the mad bastard down to a more manageable size and giving him a ton of articulation to boot. Here’s what the digital prototype looks like so far.
Every day, Mondo pops into the news with a stunning custom poster dedicated to the fine art of cinema, but this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con has seen them debut a ton of new posters that look utterly incredible.
Bethesda has decided to provide a closer look at the art for the steel book case that will be available in the DOOM Eternal collector’s edition, and even though I’d bet that the included Doom Slayer helmet is rubbish shaped with thin ABS plastic, the art for the steel book fills me with all kinds of good feelings.
Poster purveyor Mondo tapped into this market several years ago, resulting in a new appreciation for movie posters that were redesigned by some of the hottest artists around. While their brand has been associated with everything from Batman to Friday the 13th, Mondo is stepping up the fine art that they’ve been producing with a brand new exhibition themed around the last decade of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
Mondo is rolling out a He-Man and Skeletor selection of sixth-scale figures, that’ll feature “over 30 points of articulation” and include iconic weapons such as the Power Sword, laser rifles and the leather harness that can barely contain the almighty nipples of Eternia’s greatest hero.

Mondo has been a beacon in the art of movie posters. The company has been steadily pumping out poster after poster based on films classic and current, tapping incredible talent to help restore colour and imagination to the art form. At the San Diego Comic Con, Mondo had a lot of posters to show off. Do yourself a favour, and gawk at them.
