In a historical match, SK Gaming took on Team Liquid in the finals of the ESL Cologne Major, making it the first time a European team did not feature in the finals of a major tournament. Team Liquid had an amazing run, but SK Gaming proved too strong for the hopefuls.

FaZe Clan, arguably North America's biggest gaming franchise, is expanding into Overwatch and will debut this weekend in the JoshOG invitational.

Splyce, a North American based team, have picked up an Overwatch roster consisting of up and coming talent. The roster includes ex-Team Fortress 2 professional players and a familiar face in the CS:GO scene.

ESL have announced the first international Overwatch tournament which will take place at Gamescom in August. Eight teams from North America and Europe will compete for $100,000 and the glory of being the best team in the world.

Oleksandr “S1imple” Kostyliev has parted ways with yet another CS:GO team. S1mple joined Team Liquid only four months ago, where he played a crucial role in their success in North American which unfortunately ended in a semi-final finish at MLG Columbus. S1mple will now return to Europe where he starts the process of finding a team all over again.

This year the League of Legends World Championships will take place solely in North America in a coast to coast road trip. The Summoner's Cup will once again be lifted by the world's best League of Legends team at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Meet the the teams who will be taking part in the North American and European Regional Championship Circuit for Heroes of the Storm. Teams will not only be competing for a sport at the Spring Championship in South Korea, but also for their share of $100,000.
