OnRush and SOMA lead the December PlayStation Plus offerings

This year’s December is also a month for free games, as the ol’ PS Plus engine is firing up again and getting ready to hand out some free games to help justify the cost of PlayStation’s online subscription service. December kicks off with at least one high profile release: OnRush. Released earlier this year, the Codemasters developed game is an odd but fascinating stab at combining action with racing.

Bulletstorm and Yakuza Kiwami are coming to PlayStation Plus in November

It looks like November’s going to be far more interesting, with PlayStation’s own Plus portal letting the information out a little early. Players in November will get the remastered of last gen’s Bulletstorm, called the Full Clip Edition. The other big game is the remaster of the first Yakuza game, Kiwami.

This month’s PlayStation Plus Instant Games collection is probably the finest the service has ever had. Subscribers received two full retail games – that both happen to be shining jewels in the PlayStation 4 library. You can’t really top Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank, and that offering isn’t being bested this month. Still, it’s not a bad selection of games coming.
