Fortnite's new mode is called Teams of 20, and as its name suggests, it’ll open the island to five teams of twenty players each. It’s somewhere between one of the previous timed events that saw 50v50, and the usual squad mode of 4 players on each team.

The decidedly inferior Xbox One version of the game has received its ninth update, and it brings a host of changes and fixes. The most notable is that the starting island has been nixed, as it uses up too much in the way of server resources.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds may be one of the most popular games to play now, but that popularity has started to dwindle slowly. This year, the game started seeing its first player declines, and the player numbers keep on dropping. Cheaters could be to blame - so the team has halted development to tackle them.

Chinese internet giant Tencent is the official publisher of the unfathomably popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. They’re not just publishing the game as you know it on PC though. They’re also publishing mobile versions of the game, for the mobile-mad Chinese market. The astute among you would have noticed the plural – and that’s because Tencent has two different official PUBG games hitting phones in China; PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield and PUBG: Army Attack.

We’re constantly hearing about PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and how it’s a constantly growing game, with millions and millions of players.That said, it has seen its first ever drop in concurrent player number on Steam.

From Fortnite’s admittedly fun wholesale poaching of the format to Paladins also attempting to make some quick scratch, everybody wants a slice of that pie. Here’s another name to throw into the ring: Fear The Wolves.
