For two whole months, Nintendo’s Switch stole the top hardware spot in the US. For two months, it was nice to not report that that Sony’s console was the top-selling system in America. Just those two months though, as Nintendo’s Switch has been dethroned by King PlayStation.

Capcom revealed that the horror game had sold a respectable 3.5 million copies by the end of the company’s fiscal 2016. The company hopes that it’ll manage to sell through 10 million copies eventually.
Emboldened by early success, Nintendo now plans to sell 10 million Switch units in the current financial year.
Nintendo’s Switch really is off to quite a start. Following its launch last month, investors and analysts predicted that the device would sell 2.5 million units by the end of March. Nintendo themselves had their targets sets on a 2 million unit sell-through. It has done a little better than that.
