Featuring spooky arcade cabinets, creatures from the depths of Hell and even more zombies to slice and dice, Hellraid certainly looks like more of a good thing.
Dying Light, a video game that has not only survived half a decade but has thrived. Techland’s fantastic zombie sandbox took everything that was great about their previous effort Dead Island, fine-tuned the parkour and raised the stock price on toilet paper whenever the sun went down and the more dangerous Volatile crawled out from their UV light avoiding holes. With that prime number behind it, Techland is looking to celebrate one again with a fresh update, one that’ll introduce Darryn-mode to the game.
Dying Light is one of the best open world games in recent memory. That it’s set in n apolcalyptic world overrun with zombies – making good on the promises of games like Dead Island - is just icing on the cake. If you haven’t played Dying Light, you’re missing out. If you have, you’re probably waiting with bated breath for its impending sequel.
Almost six years after it was first announced, and Dead Island 2 owner Koch Media wants you to know that it's still coming.
You think four years of post-launch downloadable content is an eye-watering number to wrap your gums around? Maybe! Confirmed during an interview with lead designer Tymon Smektala, Techland has stated that they plan on supporting Dying Light 2 long after it’s initial release.
Techland has also been particularly secretive on showing off any new footage in the years since Dying Light 2 was announced, sticking to the shadows and toiling away on their dream for a world that reacts to your decisions to either be a good guy who helps the downtrodden man or a ne’er-do-well who thinks only of himself and is only too happy to kick a dude off a ledge to create zombie bait.
