Warner Bros has reportedly made history by tapping Cathy Yan, the first female Asian filmmaker to direct an A-list Hollywood superhero film, to helm an upcoming DC Comics film focusing on Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey comics.

Akira is such a popular and iconic anime film, that its difficult to imagine exactly how Hollywood could make a live-action version of the film and do it justice. Taika Waititi has some ideas on how he might go ahead with this project.
