Microsoft’s got a bunch of new games headed to Xbox Game Pass, and they’re good ones! Over the next couple of weeks, you can expect the library to be refreshed with the likes of Ninja Theory's Bleeding Edge, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, Astrologaster and The Surge 2. Plus a new system that makes me feel all perky.

This may be the most first-world complaint I’ve ever made, but there’s no denying it: There just aren’t enough hours in the day to experience everything that Xbox Game Pass has to offer. Team Green’s successful subscription service may have started out with an entirely okay library, but the current crop on offer is astonishing stuff especially if you’re looking to play catch-up with some of the biggest hits of this generation.

February is here, and in the month of love Microsoft wants players to start getting romantic with their consoles as the first batch of new games for the service have been announced: Final Fantasy XV and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

You know, the real tragedy here is that I just bought Tekken 7 two weeks ago during the holiday break. Oh well! C’est la vie! Back to the main story, we could wax lyrical all day about just how much value one gets from a monthly subscription to Xbox Game Pass. The library is an absolute unit of good games right now, not only from indie darlings but also from plenty of big name publishers who seem to be more than happy to have some of their biggest titles claim a new audience through the service.

I will never shut up about how good a value proposition Game Pass is. On both Xbox One and PC, a Game Pass subscription offers up a veritable smorgasbord of videogames. It’s filled with big blockbuster games you’d happily pay full price for, and hidden gems you’d otherwise miss because they’re not on your radar. Yes, there’s a bit of absolute guff in there too.

Role-playing games seem to be slowly working their way back into the main spotlight, spreading their reach and influence into other genres while still taking the time to release pure versions of their particular slices of gameplay. It’s a field that Xbox is looking to capitalise on now that they’ve got more than a dozen studios under their belt and Wasteland 3 on the horizon, it isn’t just a cheap pledge.

Last night’s massive advert Game Pass, X019, had plenty of new reveals for which games will soon be made available in the months to come. Those announcements had a distinctive single-player taste, favouring genres and sequels that ranged from classic remasters to more contemporary slices of RPG nostalgia. Something which Xboss Phil Spencer reckons, is helping publishers to realise that they don’t need to chase the live service dragon.

There may be a to of great games coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2020, but right now? The library just refreshed itself with a bunch of other great titles…and some entirely okay ones. Here’s the full list.
