Video games are a hell of a lot more comfortable to play these days. Gone are the days of controllers which blistered thumbs, broke wrists and were caked in sweaty fluids. These days, a good controller is equal parts durable and ergonomic. Within the big three of the video game industry, there exists a trinity of input devices that are modern day technological marvels. But who has the best one?

Microsoft is hedging bets on the future of streaming console gaming, and their change to the subscription based Game Pass is evident that it's closer than you think.

Last week saw PUBG on Xbox One start the process of fixing its godawful control scheme, a boon for any player who was left completely boggled by the clunky design. This week? A new patch refines the controls a touch bit further, while also adding some s-s-s-s-s-s-s-stability to the island brouhaha.

In a groundbreaking move. Microsoft has announced that all of its future first-party games will be added to its Game Pass subscription service on the day of their release.

If you’re keen on a little monster expedition so that you can harvest the hide of creatures that’ll gladly tear your face off, Monster Hunter World will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on launch, with a PC port up for grabs a little bit later. Just don’t expect to see it on the Nintendo Switch.

Microsoft is already promising some cha-cha-changes that’ll be revealed at their media briefing at E3 2018.

Perhaps the very tip of that crapburg however, belongs to the actual button layout of PUBG on Xbox One. It’s overly-convoluted, with buttons often having multiple functions mapped to them that results in bloated gameplay. It seems some of that fat is being trimmed off in the latest PUBG update however, as a Type-B preset seeks to evolve the game further.

Constantly updating, the next upgrade for Fortnite: Battle Royale aims to make the world you’re exploring and murdering in a little bit more interesting.
