I suppose it was just a matter of time. I mean the world is in such demand for more iPhones each year why not make a series starring the most over-used monster of the last decade and pitch it as something new with an “i” in the front? Okay, I am just a tad cynical. Okay, perhaps more than a tad. …
MACGRUBER! When MacGruber was released back in 2010, it was a, action comedy movie that riffed on MacGuyver that critics called stupid, childish, vicious and completely nonsensical. And they were all right, as MacGruber was all of that, yet magically charming and funny as hell. Because when your lead character gleefully admits that he yearns to rip the throat out …
I’m pretty sure that I’ve already seen Get Hard. The idea of a wealthy Wall street investor getting caught for shady business and then sentenced to jail with only a month to get his affairs in order while he trains his mind, body and anus to withstand the rigors of prison life, has been done before. The last movie of real significance about the genre – that wasn’t a documentory – was probably 8 …
When I was young I loved watching Marshal Bravestar, Samurai Pizza Cats and He Man, but there was no one that I wanted to be more than the sprightly figure of Bruce Lee. To me (and most of the world) he embodied the best of the best. He was quick, strong, and had crazy cat-like calls when he was about to grind you …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
