NFS: Undercover – Not looking too shabby after all

By Nick De Bruyne

When I first heard that a new Need for Speed title was on it's way, I wasn't incredibly excited to tell you the truth. I though that Carbon was a step in the wrong direction and I couldn't really bother to comment on what I thought of Pro Street. Underground is however, starting to make me take interest in the franchise again. The trailer is looking pretty fun and EA has even gotten Nissan to debut their new Nissan 370Z in the game. How the car still looked so good after slamming through a wall of cop cars is however, a mystery.

Rockstar Games creative VP Dan Houser talked about the change with Edge Online recently, and he believes that people are largely misremembering the series of GTA III games and their tone. “We’re still figuring out what we’re going to do next, because of the downloadable content. I don’t think it’s set anything in stone, it’s just what we did with …

Media Molecule promise new LBP levels and real money for your creations

200810310102.jpg In an interview with GamePro, Eric Fong, associate producer on LittleBigPlanet answered a few questions asked to them by the site. The first of which, was whether or not Media Molecule continue to release new levels, to which Fong replied: "Yes, Media Molecule is continuing to add to the player experience with new levels, costumes, materials, and a host of other content." Some good news for LBP fans. The more support is given for LBP, the stronger it will become at keeping gamers in their game. Gamers have also been promised that they will be able to sell their creations for real money. More after the jump. Gamepro also asked when users will be able to "sell" their creations for real money, which was promised by Media Molecule in a report from Reuters . Fong replied saying that: "There are still a lot of details that need to be worked out, that's pretty much all I can say at this point." I sincerely hope that Media Molecule didn't make a promise before they knew whether or not they could actually keep it. Let's see how it all plays out.

GT5 burning rubber in 2009?

Playstation Beyond has released a bit of news that might get any Gran Turismo fans out there a but giddy. According to their article, the winner of the GT5 Middle East Challenge, Ahmed Al Azmi got the chance to sit with none other than GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi and ask him a bunch of questions about the upcoming game. So here comes the interesting part. When Ahmed asked if it would be possible for them to see GT5 on shelves by 2010, Yamauchi laughed and told him that the game would be "released sooner than expected". Does that mean that we are finally going to be seeing GT5 some day soon. Well from the sounds of things, that's exactly what it means.

Trailer for a Demo? Apparently so for Mirror's Edge

By Nick De Bruyne

With the Mirror's Edge release date looking closer (November 11) and the demo now available on Xbox Live and PSN, EA has taken a rather strange move and released a trailer for the demo. Kind of like killing two birds with one running shoe. The trailer shows off some of the tutorial gameplay as well as a trainer that is helping our protagonist get back on her feet, almost literally. With some interesting music and editing, the trailer does it's job pretty well and has certainly helped maintain my curiosity about how this game is going to play at the end of the day. It's something different, I'll give it that much.

Sony can't be expected to break even

“Based on DFC’s most current research, she (Wanda Meloni) says, Sony’s production losses per individual PS3 mean that the console can’t be expected to “break even” across its lifetime” That is the startling conclusion of DFC’s recent analysis of the video game industry, apparently due to the huge manufacturing costs and competitive industry the PS3 is now not expected to even …
