Sure, by the time BioShock releases on the PlayStation 3 this week, Xbox 360 and PC gamers will have been able to play it for 14 months. Resistance 2 Co-Op Footage leaked

By Nick De Bruyne

It seems to be a great day for leaked footage of upcoming titles. A video of some co-op footage of Resistance 2 has been uploaded onto Gametrailers by a user named Chnswdchldrn and shows some of the gameplay from the co-operative campaign. As you may or may not know, the co-operative campaign will not be the same as the single player campaign but is sure to give a whole lot of fun to those who enjoy fighting along side their buddies. I am really happy to see that so many companies have listened to gamers and are integrating co-op into their games. The game itself is looking fantastic and the huge multiplayer modes are sure to be a massive hit.

Gears of War 2 Multiplayer Vids Popping Up on the Net

By Nick De Bruyne

Firstly, I want to apologise for the horrible 'gangsta' music that is overlayed on the beginning of this video, it goes away after a while. Right then, as we all know, Gears of War 2 was leaked last week, meaning that many low-life's have been able to get their hands on the game before release. It was only a matter of time until videos made their way onto the net. Piracy aside, the game itself is looking amazing. The graphic are now running a lot smoother than in the E3 code that we played and for all of you that were still wondering about bots, these videos are 100% confirmation that they have in fact made it into the final version. There are 3 videos in total, i will post the other 2 after the jump and just so you know, the bots in this version above seemed to be set to a higher difficulty than the ones in the other 2. Now, shouldn't these guys profiles be banned or something?

What is this obsession with GameStop?

I was reading a story on Ripten earlier about Chad Lakkis 6 hour road trip to pick up his original copy of Gears of War 2 as certain Gamestop’s had broken the release date. It’s actually quite an interesting story as he goes on about how the hype built up around him about Gears of War and how by the …

If your thinking was anything like mine then your draft list for Game of the Year already has some big hitters on it like Gears 2, MGS4, Far Cry 2 etc or others like that on it. It did not however have “The World of Goo” on it… though by the look of it it really should. The World of …

Xbox 360 outsells the PS3 in Japan… Again

By Gavin Mannion
October 20, 2008

Can you believe that the Xbox 360 has actually outsold the PS3 in Japan now for 4 weeks running. That really is quite a feat and while the numbers are still low it must worry Sony a bit, I remember people saying that Microsoft cannot win this war without taking Japan. I have never believed that to be honest but …

Fracture – Reviewed – Xbox 360

By Nick De Bruyne

Lucasarts took a big risk when they decided that for Fracture, they were going to base the game around a technological advancement that allows the player to raise and lower the ground using a 'tectonics' gun.... After a whole bunch of natural disasters the entire nation has been separated between two factions, one that is all for cybernetics and the other which believes in genetic mutation and enhancements.... The game makes good use of it's terrain deforming technology, including a really cool remote detonated rocket that burrows underneath the ground and more importantly, cover, allowing you to blow enemies to kingdom come.... I can't put it any clearer than to say that I really just don't think that they thought this game through before making it.... When it comes to reviews, I usually play a game on medium as I don't want the game to be too easy or too difficult as it could affect my impressions on the game. This left me wondering 2 hours in why on earth I had nine bazillion enemies firing at me from every angle possible, leaving me with no choice but to jump around like a crazed hamster on nine different illegal drugs. I have a HUD-Ache I would try and take the enemies on but there was one little problem with that idea.... The HUD is so cluttered that you are left feeling like you are wearing a a pair of paintball goggles with a paint splat right in the middle of your vision. The developers then saw it fit to not actually have any mission information in the corner of the screen, nope, they wanted to put it more towards center.... The note that you can press a button to pick up the weapon pops up on the screen, but its not on the bottom of the screen, nope its in the center, somewhere between your crosshair and the edge.... All this wouldn't be too much of a problem because none of those really gets in the way of what you are actually aiming at, assuming that you find something to shoot at.... That's correct, it is actually apart of your crosshair, off to the right, making it even harder to see and to make matters worse, when you are being shot at red indicators come up around your crosshair to show the direction, making your view even worse.... The truth is this and you can hold it against me as a reviewer if you like but I think it makes enough of a statement as it is.... As a reviewer I prefer to finish games before I review them but for the life of me I couldn't bring myself to continue without risking having my controller becoming firmly planted in the center of my TV.... Some may find the game fun and interesting, I found it to be a frustrating and gimmicky experience with no inspiration and terrible design flaws.
