Much like in previous years, EVO 2018 will have several games from the genre on the floor. Champions from Tekken, Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros. will all compete for glory next month, but here’s the shocker: Street Fighter V isn’t the game that’s drawing the most entrants this year. In a stunning reversal, it’s Arc System Works and Bandai Namco that have the most popular game around this year, in the form of Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Revealed in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine, the next batch of characters coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ will be of a more classic variety, as base form Goku and Vegeta headline that double act.

Code Vein is choosing to side-step the release madness of September, instead choosing to take the extra time and develop the game more for a new, unannounced release date in 2019.

Bandai Namco’s weapon-based face-puncher of a series has always gone its own way through each successive iteration. Throwing in extra modes, stories and ideas into the mix, multiplayer action and tournament leagues have always played second fiddle to the core idea of making a game that is fun to play. Coming out of E3 2018, gamers and anime/manga fans got a glimpse of the wild crossover battles that will surely ensue in JUMP FORCE. Today, we’re adding another level of action to JUMP FORCE’s character and franchise line-up with the announcement of Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and Sosuke Aizen from Shonen Jump’s beloved BLEACH series. Both Ichigo and Rukia will be playable as the best-known Soul Reapers from the BLEACH series. However, the nefarious Sosuke Aizen will also be entering the JUMP FORCE world, so sparks will certainly fly when these three meet in battle.
