Battlefield V is out later this month, and should be one of the first of a handful of games to support Nvidia’s brand new ray-tracing capable video cards. Of course, you’d need to actually one of those cards, which have yet to really prove their worth. Of course, that sort of hardware isn’t necessary, and the required PC specs range from lowly hardware right up to the sort of stuff that PC dreams are made of. While EA and DICE released specs for the beta, they’ve been a little quiet on the sort of horsepower required for the retail release of the game. NOT ANYMORE!

After the colossal screw up of Battlefront II and its microtransactions, many fans were left wondering if the new World War II game would have a hint of that sort of progression, or even include loathed pay-to-win systems. In a post detailing the game’s economy, EA has tried its best to assuage those fears, saying that Battlefield V won’t include any purchasable items that might confer an “unfair gameplay advantage.”

Battlefield V's Battle Royale mode is going to need a lot more time to cook up, as EA confirms it's only expected to launch in March 2019.

As the Core Gameplay Designer at DICE working on Battlefield V, former FNATIC player Florian Le Bihan – DRUNKKZ3 - is very good at first person shooters. Yes, even ones not made by DICE. Le Bihan has been playing a spot of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and happens to be quite adept at shooting people in the head.

Battlefield V is retaining the vignette styled single-player that first featured in Battlefield 1, and its modes are looking far more varied this time around.

When Battlefield V was first announced, developer DICE's claims of WWII authenticity clashed severely with the colourful and often cartoonish customization options the game also offered. However, after some strong fan feedback following the game's alpha and beta tests, DICE has now decided to make some changes.

The Battlefield V delay, along with reports that the game isn’t pre-ordering well have already hit EA’s bottom line. Thanks to reports that Battlefield V pre-orders are tracking 85% below Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s and lower than previous Battlefield games, EA’s stocks are down 9%. EA would like to remind you that their little financial blip hardly matters. Why? Because they have FIFA to prop them up as always. FIFA 19 is out at the end of this month, and it will sell like proverbial hotcakes, because it’s FIFA.
