It's all but official outside of a studio press release, but Ben Affleck pretty much just confirmed that he's hung up the cape and cowl. However, even without Affleck, writer/director Matt Reeves may just be giving Batman fans the movie they've been dreaming about for years.

DC Comics' Aquaman has been the butt of bad jokes and memes for ages, but charismatic star Jason Momoa and hot horror-turned-action-director James Wan are here to try and put that right. But does Aquaman sink or swim?

We’re now less than a month away from Aquaman making a big splash in cinemas, and while full reviews are still embargoed the first social media reactions from film press have swum in and they are overwhelmingly positive on the latest DCEU film.

Announced at San Diego Comic Con, The Worlds of DC signifies the end of an era and the start of a far more focused one. Does that mean that the cinematic universe of director Zack Snyder’s darker vision for the DCEU is dead? Not exactly, but the idea here is that The Worlds of DC can support multiple films and ideas.

Reports suggest that we should see the first trailer for Aquaman any day now, but until then EW is here to tide you over (Get it? Tide? As in water?!) with some awesome new pics which give us our first look at Aquaman's new friends and foes.

Here we go again, folks! After a surprisingly lengthy lull in the "is he or isn't he?" drama surrounding Ben Affleck's tenure as Batman in the DCEU, we have ourselves a brand new rumour (to add to the mountain of previous rumours).

Perhaps the reason we haven't heard anything further about the future actor playing Batman is because Affleck is interested in returning as the caped crusader at least one more time.

Comic books are not all serious business. You may be mistaken for thinking otherwise though thanks to most of the self-serious previous DCEU movies. That looks to be changing now as the films appear to be adopting looks more colourful faithful to the source material.
