Dying Light is one of the best open world games in recent memory. That it’s set in n apolcalyptic world overrun with zombies – making good on the promises of games like Dead Island - is just icing on the cake. If you haven’t played Dying Light, you’re missing out. If you have, you’re probably waiting with bated breath for its impending sequel.

They say that good things come in threes, and so does bad news apparently. Hot off the heels of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Marvel’s Avengers being delayed, CD Projekt Red confirmed today that Cyberpunk 2077 won’t make its original April release date either. Due for a drop on April 16, Cyberpunk 2077 will now be released on September 17.

The hits sure do keep on coming today, right? Mere minutes after it was announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake would be delayed, Square Enix’s other game that was looking hot to trot is also going to be coming in a few months late. Not content with the merely cosmetic comparisons to Destiny, Marvel’s Avengers will be copying the usual release date of new Destiny content by dropping its original May 15 release date for September 4 instead.

March was starting to look like a bit of a too busy month for gamers this year, but good (and mostly terrible) news! One of the heaviest hitters of the year won’t be making its original release date, instead slipping a few weeks back and going head to head with Cyberpunk 2077 instead. The game in question? None other than Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is ditching its original release date of March 3 for April 10.

It was only recently that we got a confirmed release date for Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 4 swansong, The Last of Us II. The gamer was pegged for a February 2020 release, but now that’ll no longer be happening. It’s a curious delay given that Sony recently held previews for the game, showing it off to select press at an event. After a few rumours suggesting the game’s delay, Sony and Naughty Dog have confirmed that The Last of Us II will now be coming towards the middle of the year.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 delayed to later in 2020

I’m usually the sort of person who’s happy with a delay – especially if it means that a game ends up being more polished, and delivers a better experience to those who play it. They don’t really hit me, because I usually have lots to play anyway. I was, however, looking quite forward to playing Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 in March next year. That won’t be happening though, as the developers explained in a statement.

So who’s bowing out from a late 2019 release? None other than Bethesda’s DOOM Eternal, the sequel to 2016’s metal as hell first-person shooter that set eyeballs aflame when it first came out. Here’s the text from Id Software confirming the delay.
