A few hours after Destiny 2 went full-on beta last night, and its first cheesy trick has already been uncovered: Infinite ammo. Redditor Dalgdawgydawg posted this trick, as it turns out that the Warlock has an extra trick up his sleeve. Here’s how it works.

While Destiny’s later expansions would flesh the world out, players were still hungry for a more cohesive tale. With customisation being a key influencer in games of this ilk and Destiny 2 continuing the trend of the Guardian you’ve built being playable in the arenas, I see the mode gaining a following when Destiny 2 launches on PC. Plus, that gunplay. It’s the best. All of this needs to be tied together by some solid map design however. Maps which make the best of all-out warfare, choke points and escape routes through Destiny 2’s various modes. If you thought that Destiny was too easy, well good news then you masochistic fiend: Bungie has heard you and they’re cranking up the difficulty for select events. In an IGN First interview, game director Luke Smith detailed how players would need to consider their loadouts more carefully than ever before for “the pinnacle level of the game”.

The Tower of Destiny’s first cycle is gone, having been renovated with extreme prejudice by the Red Legion and the ultimate landlord, Dominus Rex. Your freeloading ass is out, your buddy the Traveller can’t help you due to space-magic reasons and you need someplace to help store your collection of guns. It’s off to the Farm then for some fresh air, chickens and football.

It’s that very drought of content that defined Destiny 2 that developer Bungie and its parent company Activision want to avoid for Destiny 2, a promise that’ll have them chucking plenty of their considerable resources at the sequel in an attempt to keep that franchise populated between the months of expansions that are on the horizon.

Much like how the Taken King gave players a primary antagonist in the form of Oryx, Destiny 2 focuses on Dominus Ghaul and his Red Legions driving the Guardians out of their safe haven and into the wildlands. A story that works just as well the second time for Destiny 2.

So what gives? Why an extra pair of days that I presumably would have spent camped outside my PS4 without pants as I counted down the hours until launch? It’s so that the Destiny 2 servers don’t die in flames on launch day, as weekends are murderous on servers.
