Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee’s 12-issue storyline rocked the industry when it was first published in 2002. The hottest art, a decent saga that saw Batman take on his entire rogues gallery and a new mystery menace in the form of the titular Hush resulted in record sales as every new issue published was devoured by fans. Now, that landmark story is headed to a widescreen TV near you.

Chances are, most of us will never get a chance to ever visit San Diego Comic Con. If any one single character was deserving of a smash of the reset button, it certainly is Broly. You can’t think of the legendary Super Saiyan as a villain who can match wits with Frieza or pursue perfection like Cell did. Broly is a force of nature, Saiyan power that is unleashed and unstoppable when pointed in a certain direction. That’s the vibe that I’m getting in the latest trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which showcases the son of Paragus in action.

With the smaller screen proving that it has plenty to offer and networks looking to buy up comic book properties whenever something sounds particularly tantalising, there’s a whole new comic book renaissance happening right now on your nearest flatscreen. Comic book publisher Aftershock Comics is jumping headfirst into that medium, as two of their properties will soon make the transition from printed page to live action TV.

The first trailer for DC Universe’s Titans series has no love for Batman

By Darryn Bonthuys

Hope, potential and family. For decades, those have been the key themes that have united the Teen Titans, DC’s signature team of heroes who represent the next generation of crimefighting in that particular universe. Instead, the new series from the DC Universe streaming service is a dark, moody and violent reboot of the classic property that starts with Robin saying “F*** Batman”. So pretty much the inverse of Teen Titans Go then. Here’s the first trailer for it
