The Crew 2 may have had hundreds of hands guiding its development, but not all of them belonged to Ubisoft. In fact, a lot of its design is the end result of thousands of fans adding their input to the upcoming caRPG.

Revealed last night at the Black Ops IIII event in sunny Los Angeles, developer Treyarch’s take on the battle royale mode is called Blackout. All the action that you’d expect of Call of Duty, spread across a wide map, characters and plenty of weapons. Well, minus the massive player count, because Treyarch is undecided yet on just how many players it’ll allow into any given session of Blackout.

That first foray into New York in The Division will likely see scores of agents leave that city soon, as Ubisoft is pushing forward on a sequel later this year. And this time, there’s going to be a lot more to do after the credits have rolled.
