The first big-budget Star Wars live-action TV series is on the way, and we finally got some real details during the Mandalorian Star Wars Celebration panel.

If anybody had any trepidation or reservations about Disney's plans to do a "live-action" remake of their beloved 1994 animated classic The Lion King, then you can now just "hakuna matata" yourself because hot damn this is looking good!

After months and months of nothing but rumours and conjecture, the floodgates of information have officially opened. Just yesterday we learned that Jon Favreau's hotly anticipated live-action Star Wars series was going to be a western flavoured adventure titled The Mandalorian. Today, we get out first look at the titular armour wearing space gunslinger as production officially gets underway on the series.

Disney is pulling out all the stops for their upcoming video streaming service, and that includes a rather hefty price tag for their flagship Star Wars live-action series. A series which may just be taking us to an iconic corner of the Star Wars galaxy we've only ever seen in animated form.

Disney has unveiled arguably an even better cast of acting talent for their new live-action reboot than the original film. Including the singing powers of Beyonce and a welcome return of the Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer.
