While CD Projekt Red have hinted in the past that they’d be open to the idea of taking their upcoming title into the online realm of PvP and other social interactions, that was just it. It was an idea, a thought that there was no real form commitment to. Until today that is, as the developer have officially announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will receive multiplayer content after launch and once the DLC has wrapped up.
We’ve known that the PlayStation 5 (or whatever it ends up being called when it’s revealed, likely later this year) will be backwards compatible with the PlayStation 4, ever since Wire had the very first scoop about what the system might be like. It makes sense. With both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 running on similar, X86-64 architecture and their successors doing the same, backwards compatibility will make the transition to the new generation a little easier.
NetherRealm wants to give you the tools to be a badass. Want a warrior who earns more experience from performing a grisly finisher? There’s a build for that. Want to sacrifice defense in favour of more offense? There’s a build available for that style of play.
