Following on from the news of potential lead casting for the upcoming Batman solo film, we get reports about who the Dark Knight may be facing off against.

After years of seemingly tumultuous pre-production, writer/director Matt Reeve’s solo Batman film appears to be coming together. There’s just been one crucial component missing: Batman himself. Well, we seem to have a pair of leading contenders for the crown now with one potentially going from sparkling in the sunlight to skulking in the shadows, while the other could transition from genius blue-furred scientist to genius leather-bound vigilante.

After months of rumours, Ben Affleck is officially not Batman anymore. But why did the 46-year old actor give up the cape and cowl?

It's all but official outside of a studio press release, but Ben Affleck pretty much just confirmed that he's hung up the cape and cowl. However, even without Affleck, writer/director Matt Reeves may just be giving Batman fans the movie they've been dreaming about for years.

With a first draft script almost finished, director Matt Reeves has finally given some much-needed updates on The Batman as the DC Comics Cinematic Universe prepares to transition itself to creating a franchise of character-driven solo movies.

Perhaps the reason we haven't heard anything further about the future actor playing Batman is because Affleck is interested in returning as the caped crusader at least one more time.

Andy Serkis appear to be in awe of Matt Reeves as a director and definitely want to work with him again on his upcoming next project.
