Outriders has shaped up nicely over the years, and if its recent demo is any indicator of its final build, it’s a game that may not have much going for it in the originality department but it’s still a satisfying blast of polished action. One odd thing about its design though is just how reliant the game is on tiny cutscenes whenever you want to transition to a new area.

Epic Games is investing in beans. Magic beans! Beans shaped like vaguely humanoid creatures nut you really don’t want to see what the anatomy of these organisms looks like! Mediatonic’s Fall Guys took the world by storm last year, providing a perfect respite from everything else going on in the world at the time. A winner had emerged, and along with the best social media account in video games, Fall Guys hasn’t fallen off the map since it arrived initially as a PS Plus freebie.

If there’s an elevator pitch for this game, then its Aliens meets Left 4 Dead with a healthy dollop of gung-ho action thrown into the mix.

Remember The Sinking City? A perfectly serviceable game set in the Cthuluverse, developer Frogwares produced a game that hit the nail on the head for anyone looking to get a fix of HP Lovecraft-inspired insanity and dread prophecies about ancient gods that exist in inconceivable realms. What the game has been more well-known for as of late though is the ongoing drama between Frogwares and French publisher Nacon.

You’ll have to wait until the next Remake chapter to see just how much of a visual slobber-knocker Final Fantasy can be when the dials have been turned up to 11.

Dishonored and Prey developer Arkane Studios has a neat idea up its sleeve with the release of Deathloop, as players will have to explore a deadly island locked in time and pull off a number of executions to break out of the chronal jail. Of course, there’s more to the game than just that insultingly brief synopsis, but the kicker …
