Visual Concepts and publisher 2K are promising to show off more of how WWE 2K22 is coming along by sharing regular behind-the-scenes updates "over the coming weeks" on Instagram and Twitter.

WWE 2K20 will go down in history as not only the worst wrestling game ever made, but possibly a vital one that forced 2K Games to rethink their reliance on making sports entertainment an annual spectacle.

Breaking a streak of 21 uninterrupted releases of official wrasslin’ games, the WWE series which 2K took over a few years ago after the demise of THQ, is taking a break this year.

Could 2K’s WWE games get any worse? Yes! Because there might not even be a WWE 2K game this year. That’s the word according to former WWE video game writer Justin Leeper, who claims that due to several factors (And the My Shaaaaaaarona virus), this year’s WWE 2K game is stuck in development hell in a cell.

For a time, it looked 2K had finally found their groove with the release of WWE 2K19. WWE 2K20 takes all that goodwill and pisses it away, constructing the shoddiest backyard ring possible and filling it with a broken product, busted progression systems and an overall presentation that makes WWE 2K20 the worst there was, the worst there is and the worst that ever will be.

This year’s slammer jammer that is WWE 2K20, seems to be having some trouble with that traditional feature. Fans on reddit have posted some absolutely nightmarish creations of custom assets resembling Assassin’s Creed Unity without a day one patch, while the option to download faces seems to have been disabled entirely.
