After being thoroughly underwhelmed by the previous two entries in the rather silly Divergent franchise, my excitement level for series finale Allegiant can be measured somewhere between a root canal and a plate full of steamed broccoli. That being said, after watching this first full trailer for The Divergent Series: Allegiant, I’m maybe/kind of /sort of/ a little intrigued again. …
What’s in a name? A Prometheus sequel by any other name is still just a Prometheus sequel, right? Well, I certainly hope so because either director Ridley Scott’s memory is going (hey, the man is 77!), or he’s going through some kind of identity crisis. Just recently we heard that the upcoming sequel to not-an-Alien-prequel Prometheus was going to be …
While we’ve seen quite a number of images featuring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we’ve yet to see anything from her own solo film which is currently busy shooting. We haven’t heard much either – well, at least nothing concrete anyway, as everything has merely been rumours about the narrative. But now …

For those of you who have been living under a rock these past few years you may have missed that I really rather enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy, a fun space romp directed by the rather awesome, and I suspect slightly unhinged, James Gunn. What you probably don’t know is how active he is on social media. I mean, he’s even …
On March 25, 2016, one of the most highly anticipated sequels of the last few years finally arrives. And no, I’m not talking about Batman v Superman, it’s… My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2!… Ok, so maybe “highly anticipated” was a bit of an overstatement. Now I’ve never seen the original My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but clearly though, I am …
This is a bit of a dull week in cinemas. There are a lot of movies out today, some very good, some… not so much, but no highly-anticipated blockbusters yet. Grandma Lily Tomlin stars as Elle who has just gotten through breaking up with her girlfriend when Elle’s granddaughter Sage unexpectedly shows up needing $600 bucks before sundown. Temporarily broke, …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
