Great news for Killzone fans! I just went to go and check out my PS3 for the Killzone 3 beta and it looks like open multiplayer beta is finally up and available for download on the Playstation Network. The beta is available through the Playstation Store and weighs in at 800MB. I didn’t get the chance to toy around with …
If you’ve played through Dead Space or it’s sequel, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Unitology, the games’ featured kooky religion was perhaps a parody, or mockery of L. Ron Hubbard’s Scientology. It’s not though; probably because a religion that revolves around Thetans and the attachment to Lord Xenu the tyrant ruler of the Galactic Confederacy doesn’t really need to …
It seems that initial reports of the PS3’s firmware 3.56 being hacked were, like a teenage boy’s first time, just a little premature. According to some of the more experienced members of the PS3 hacking scene, Sony may have added more protection than originally anticipated. Remember back a few years to the Sony BMG rootkit scandal? Concerned over music piracy, …
Capcom’s latest downloadable release came out on the US PSN on 01 February. When Capcom released Final Fight: Double Impact last year, they did so with DRM included, but didn’t tell anyone about it. This time around, the moment you purchase BC Rearmed 2, you’re told “You must log-in to the PlayStation Network each time to play this gameâ€. Capcom …
I’ve recently gotten back into playing FIFA and have ploughed far to many hours into FIFA 11 in the last 2 weeks. It’s an absolutely fantastic title and is far better than I expected to be fair but some things had me pulling my hair out. Now don’t get me wrong I am not good at the game so possibly …

Those blokes at People Can Fly are having a lot of fun making Bulletstorm, but it’s what they are doing when they aren’t developing their game that has gotten very interesting. Now, I am not sure about exactly who was behind this – but in an attempt to shoot down the saturated war-shooter genre and promote their game’s new outlook …
Resistance is an oddly polarising franchise. Insomniac’s PS3 launch title FPS has made many fans, with as many people just not getting it. I sit somewhere in the middle, having played and enjoyed Resistance but not quite afflicted by the almost religious fervour some of its proponents carry. If you might recall, the first trailer we saw of the recently …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
