November is a big month for electronic device sales in the Us. Thanks to Black Friday – the day after thanksgiving and the traditional start of Christmas shopping – and its many incredible deals, high-priced items like consoles have a tendency to fly off shelves. November’s hardware sales tend to paint a pretty accurate picture of what the American public …
On Monday we posted a story on how Australia’s new Home Affairs Minister, Brian O’Connor, was going to be the saviour of gamers in the land down under. He was the guy who was going to get the six Attorney Generals to endorse a change to the country’s rating system for games. That rating system essentially bans any games from …
The younger, firmer Lara Croft you’ll play as in the new, grittier Tomb Raider from developers Crystal dynamics won’t be needlessly sexed up for the sake of pubescent boys, and that her sex appeal will come through her characterisation. “There is a different tone we are going for across the board, and Lara Croft as a sex object isn’t our …
In an alternate universe, AJ McLean was never part of the Backstreet Boys. Instead, he joined the UNSC and became a Spartan; a Spartan capable of hooking up and forming “meaningful relationships” with women; a Spartan who likes to sharpen his knife while hanging out with stars from TV shows such as Madmen; a Spartan capable of doing everything while wearing …
In my humble opinion Dead Space is the scariest title ever released on a gaming system and it looks like Dead Space 2 is about to ratchet it all up a notch when it’s released in January next year. Thankfully for me Nick is going to be doing the review so my girly scream voice can stay dormant for now. …
A few weeks ago, Nick posted the teaser trailer for a new Bioware game that’ll get officially announced tomorrow  at the Spike VGA. I then posted news of a rumour that Sony Russia had accidentally revealed the teaser to be for Mass Effect 3. No further news on that rumour here though. What we do have is a leaked still …
Gran Turismo 5 wasn’t the only racing title release recently with NFS: Hot Pursuit and the slightly less technical, Joyride, also seeing the light of day. GT5 and NFS: Hot Pursuit both received glowing reviews so how does the cartoony Joyride compare, I stuck the disk in the drive, waved at the TV and took it for a spin. Last …
I’m going to chalk this one up to a technically possible idea but massively bad move if they really do it. According to a patent granted to Sony, instead of releasing a PS4 in the next few years they could rather release an accessory that would boost the power of the PS3 allowing it to play next-next-gen games without the …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
