BioShock 2, although a great game in its own right, came across as an unnecessary return to the fallen undersea ruins of Rapture. Minerva’s Den, the game’s first – and possibly only – narrative driven single player DLC brings escorts you back to the familiar subaquatic dystopia. Is it worth returning to Rapture, for what could be the last time? …
The Kevin Butler Playstation ad campaign, is in my mind, possibly one of the greatest series of adverts that I have ever seem in my life. Never before has a video games company nailed its target audience down so well, and created a series of advertisements that never fail to deliver ad after ad after ad. They are pure genius. …
OK Lazygamers, the first week of our H.A.W.X 2 competition sponsored by Ubisoft/Megarom and EvoPoints has been done and I have a prize that needs awarding in the form of a PSN or MS Points code. Remember that for this week (week 2), we have two prizes to give away. The person with the best score for the week will …
The first Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X released just on around a year and a half a go, and jetted forth as Ubisoft’s first attempt at entering the air combat genre in this generation. When we reviewed the first H.A.W.X, we thought it wasn’t bad at all, awarding it a solid 8.0/10, noting that it wasn’t for flight sim buffs, but rather …

On September 13, 1985 the first super Mario Bros game was released in Japan. While our favourite goomba-stomping plumber got his start a little earlier – in 1981’s Donkey Kong, it was Super Mario Bros that sent the world’s most famous video game character down the princess-saving path he’d continue for the next 25 years. So Happy 25th Birthday, Mario! …
So the international Reach embargo has been lifted and the scores are flooding in. Unfortunately being down south we don’t seem to have been included in this early review batch which is annoying but we’re working on remedying this for any future major launches. Or at least whining incessantly about it to the publishers, either way we are being heard. …
Executives do a lot of gushing about their newest products. Sometimes, they get extra gushy at launch events and say things that they probably shouldn’t have. Exhibit A: Stephen McGill, who is the head of Xbox UK. Recently he was asked by Eurogamer how he thought the newest Halo game would do against Treyarch’s up-coming entry into the Call of …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
