Facebreaker – Reviewed – XBOX360

By Philip Dunkley So EA released their new Freestyle brand with the launch of this title, Facebreaker. I really hope that this is not the direction of the series, because if it is, they are in for a torrid time. I can understand companies releasing titles towards the end of the year to cash in on the mid-year slump, but …

Ex-GameStop employee tells it how it is

By Nick De Bruyne

Ever heard of Gamestop? If you haven't, it's a large chain of gaming stores in the U.S that make our little shops look pretty silly. They have amazing libraries of games for all the current consoles and a whole bunch of other shiny stuff too. It's all very pretty to look at, but what about the skullduggery that goes on behind the scenes. Well, an ex-Gamestop employee only known as "WhistleBlowerZero" has had enough with the stores and has decided to put up a series of video on YouTube telling the truth about all of the terrible things that the store does and how we people should rather shop elsewhere. To make things even more strange/interesting, he has done all of it in the same style as Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation reviews. While he doesn't pull it off quite as well as the crazy Brit living in Australia, not to mention the fact that I can't understand half the things he is actually saying, they are both semi-entertaining and informative to say the least. It is getting seriously intriguing to see how the internet is empowering the "little guy" to stand up to the larger companies these days. This was just one disgruntled employee making a stupid video and I tell you, GameStop can't be very happy about it. I can't wait to see the absolute BS that they release when they have finished getting some amazing marketing suit to write their official statement.

You may remember back on the 22nd of July the console war ended. Jane Wells went on national TV (in the states) and let us all know that the PS3 was better because her son had packed up all of his 360 equipment and traded it for a PS3. Well we called it lunacy back then and were subsequently branded …

This won’t be the first Xbox 360 game that requires a HDD but it may possibly be the first exclusive title that does. Ninja Blade, a game I have had zero interest in, has cropped up on Xbox.com with the above information blocks. So according to that we are going to need a HDD and a storage device… anyway… If …

Something which was never in the game for those who spent their time running …

Microsoft Concedes Console War to Wii

I’m not really one for all this console war stuff, I don’t see why it really matters if one console sells more than the other but it seems Microsoft do care as they have conceded defeat to the Wii. They do firmly believe that they will be beating Sony this generation though. Microsoft VP, Don Mattick said, “I’m not at …
