Zero Punctuation cancelled this week

By Gavin Mannion
June 12, 2008

Well this is not how I wanted to start my Thursday, there is no Zero Punctuation this week as Yahtzee has flown over to the USA to pick up his webby award… If I knew voting for him would have meant that I didn’t get my Zero Punctuation fix I would have voted for one of the other contenders… Anyway …

MGS4Bundle.jpg The MGS4 80GB Bundle is selling out instantly at retailers with Amazon.com and Frys.com already selling all their stock on the first and second day respectively. If you don't know, the bundle includes the following: The MGS4 80GB PS3 A copy of MGS4 A dual shock 3 controller The bundle is selling at the price of $499.99. Metal Gear Solid 4 is available TODAY and I am sure that a lot of you are itching to get your hands on the game so that you can take it home and lock yourself away for a week. I cannot tell a lie, the first person I see walking down the street with a PS3 and copy of MGS4 under his arm is getting a half-brick to the back of his head. I will probably feel bad about assaulting and stealing from some poor guy, but only till I get home and set it up, then all the guilt will happily fade away.

Reading through the article, I realised that it’s about damn time that I started getting really excited for this game. We have been seeing and hearing a lot about the tech side of Far Cry …

As much as many of the hardcore gamers don’t want to admit it, the Wii has pretty much won this generation before the generation has even started. No one expected the phenomenal explosion of the Wii and now everyone has started grappling to understand, and capitalise on it. Jacob Mazel over at vgchartz.com has put together a fantastic factual article …

This is easily one of my most anticipated games for this year, the original Viva Pinata was a huge hit with the wife and I have to admit I was horribly addicted at times as well. The Party Animals was a let down for the wife and I but the kids ate it up and absolutely love the game.. Now …

Reviewed: LEGO Indiana Jones – Xbox 360

The formula seems simple: take a well-loved film franchise, populate it entirely with Lego versions of the characters, and have player progress through a simplified version of the plot that cranks up the self-deprecating humour. The main attraction? To collect Lego coins and discover secrets that unlock more content as you play. On paper, it sounds boring, or at the …

So I just received an anonymous tip that Ninja Gaiden 2 is now in stock at BT Games, a whole 2 days before it was expected… Since this game has already been released this isn’t really breaking the street date so you should be able to get it anywhere.. Our review is just being polished as I type so hopefully …

HVD: Is Blu-Ray a waste of time?

By Nick De Bruyne
June 11, 2008
in :  Gaming
56

The first time I heard about Holographic Versatile Discs (HVD) was about 2 years ago, I had heard that it was the sleeper technology that was going to rise above HD-DVD and Blu-Ray and win the next-gen disc war. Just to make things clear, HVD’s don’t actually project some sort of 3D holographic image, the name stems more from the …
