By Gavin Mannion

Now I am not one for ultra violent video games… okay that’s a blatant lie I love them. Even though I love them however I was taken back by the level of violence in soldier of Fortune. With all the media attention that has been around violent games in the previous few years I thought that this latest iteration in …

Some sad news this morning, one of the best gamercard generator sites on the internet has suddenly shut down. Livecard.net stopped serving up the gamercards in the early morning and now their homepage has been replaced by quite a somber message.  Over the past few months we have spoken to dozens of data centers to fix our speed issues, we were …

So I just closed the recent poll I had running about the Wii and the results were very interesting. I expected a huge backlash against the price and that didn’t actually happen. The results were as follows 1. Interesting but overpriced – 58 Votes2. It’s fantastic, pure fun – 56 Votes3. It’s a kiddies toy – 36 Votes4. Couldn’t care …

Xbox 360 gets a price cut in Japan

By Gavin Mannion

The image above is a comparison between the 3 consoles sales after we align the launch dates. The red line is the PS3, the green line is the 360 and the blue cliff face is the Wii. As you can see the PS3 is pretty much exactly even with the 360 coming up to this holiday season. Granted the above …

Haze demo a mess

By Gavin Mannion
October 22, 2007
in :  Gaming

The Haze demo has been released and the early reviews are not being kind. Haze is supposed to be the PS3’s answer to Halo but with the added twist of NECTAR. A drug that enhances human abilities and creates super soldiers. Unfortunately in the game all it seems to do is create coloured streaks on the screen and not much else. According …

By Gavin Mannion

PSU.com has put together some comparison screen shots for the recently announced Lost Planet for the PS3. Unfortunately none of the screen shots are from the exact same moment but at least you can see something. The first 3 comments on that site go something like this. 1. They are the same2. PS3 version is better3. Xbox 360 version is better I stopped …
