So how does the game handle then for newcomers? With Shadowbringers being recently released, somebody needed to do the legwork and find out if Final Fantasy XIV wasn’t just worth an investment of personal time, but also worthy of the monthly cost that Square Enix charges to play the game in addition to its premium price to hop on in. There are still those who are willing to get up at the crack of dusk and boot up their console to find him for you. People who’ll risk digital life and limb to let you know if Xur is selling a treasure or rubbish. I just so happen to be one of those people. Maybe you’re stuck at work and can only log in later tonight. In that case: Where is Xur?

The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced that John Wick Hex’s decision to roll the die and strike out as a strategy game is the best possible decision that its development team could have made. Sure, a John Wick game where you wield a pair of pistols and blast your way through mobs of cannon fodder in the same vein as Max Payne would probably be rad, but it would do the character a disservice.

By Darryn Bonthuys
July 5, 2019
in :  Gaming

Eight years is a hell of a stretch for any game to still be so fondly remembered, and while Bulletstorm has lived on in remasters since then, it looks like a sequel is nowhere to be found.
