Welcome to The Extras! A daily dose of all the smaller movie related news, clips and just plain cool stuff that you might have missed! Gore Verbinski’s big budget movies may be hit (Pirates Of The Caribbean 2! Yaaaay!) or miss (Pirates Of The Caribbean 3! Boo!), but when given the chance to make something smaller, he can turn in some …

Ever since the Lord of the Rings trilogy Viggo Mortensen has been a household name. Then he was in Australia, a movie that had most wanting to kick him out the house, down the street and into the local trailer park. So I am curious to see how he does in Jauja, a new movie by Director Lisandro Alonso (Freedom), a movie where he speaks mostly Danish as most …

There’s something gloriously insane about Mad Max and the world he lives in. Hell, being mentally unbalanced is part of his name, as the Road Warrior is forced to survive in a world that has long since kissed sanity goodbye. It’s also the kind of film franchise that is just begging for viewers to toss rational thinking and environmetally sound …

Wait wait, hang on a minute. Kill Me Three Times has Simon Pegg as an incredibly British assassin with a Tom Selleck moustache who runs around with some enormous guns and there’s general murder and chaos and humour and bloody revenge. Unfortunately you’ll still have to wait a bit for The Theory of Everything and The Grand Budapest Hotel – but they will be out in the next month so I’m sure …

Aquaman! What a joke! He’s no badass! Hell, I’d rather have a Robin on my team instead of him? How could Aquaman ever possibly be the kind of hero who has the aura of a kickass hero, huh? Well Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justin Bieber director just tweeted an image of the Atlantean king. And he also just shut …

There’s an old expression that goes, “Never judge a man, until you’ve walked a mile in his shoes”. I’m guessing that at that point, you can do whatever the hell you want because you’re a mile away, and you have his shoes. What does this have to do with the new trailer for Adam Sandler’s The Cobbler? Well, as you …
