Every afternoon I see a bunch of locals climbing onto Twitter and organising a massive face stabbing event. At first I thought it was because they lived in Cape Town and we all know the mountain makes people go a little funny down there. But apparently it was actually more to do with organising evening Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood matches and …
No other title this year is as exciting to me as the upcoming Gears of War 3. We had a massive internal meeting about Gears of War last week which went on for over an hour and ended up with us all agreeing that Miklos’ taste in games is just wrong and that the MP in Gears 1 is far …
I had little to no interest in the first Dragon Age; I played Baldur’s Gate to death in the before times and had no intentions of playing through its spiritual successor with my limited gaming time as a responsible(..ish) adult. Sometime after release though, I picked it up for a song in one of those frenzy-inducing sales one of our …
Those rumours of a HD remake of revolutionary console FPS Halo : Combat Evolved are beginning to gain some credence. According to Joystiq, the game will be smacking retail upside the head with a plasma sword on November 15 this year, 10 years to the day after the legendary shooter graced the original Xbox. It also only considers games released in 2010, …
Earlier this week Epic Games, People Can Fly and Electronic Arts released a “game†called Duty Calls. It was a marketing stunt to promote the upcoming and over-the-top FPS game Bulletstorm, which promises to put the fun back into the shooter genre. The Duty Calls parody (which Nick posted about here) completely rips the COD franchise a new one and …
We’re at the point in current gen console’s lifetime where we’d typically start seeing announcements of new hardware, the impending “next-generation.†things are different this gen though; with the insurmountable costs of developing AAA games for today’s hardware, coupled with the shoddy economics and flagging sales of late, the chances of the next-gen rolling around in the very near future …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
