SEGA’S awesome Playstation exclusive Yakuza series has traditionally been pretty underappreciated in the west, and although there’s the obvious cultural rift, I can’t for the life of me fathom why. Showing a slice of life in the seedy underbelly of Tokyo’s Red Light District, it’s the eastern equivalent of the Grand theft Auto series western gamers love so much – …
Perhaps this should have been kept for tomorrow’s Flamebait Friday Debate, because the likelihood of this sparking a fanboy tirade is remarkable. According to some people, Call of Duty: Black Ops is an inferior product on the PlayStation 3. This comes in the wake of Digital Foundry’s in depth comparison article on the differences between the Xbox 360 version and …
The Browncoats and Castillions rose, but have been shot in the face by Max Payne. If you’ve been following, most people – including Lazygamer and the man himself – wanted the role of Uncharted’s Nathan Drake to go to Nathan Fillion, star of the unfortunately short-lived, but excellent Firefly. Queue tears and vitriolic outrage, because Mark Wahlberg has confirmed he’s …
Crank this one up to an absolutely awful technical design, Polyphony Digital are warning GT5 players in game that they may experience extreme slowness while playing a single player campaign or even navigating the menu’s thanks to ‘extreme online traffic congestion’. Gran Turismo 5 is here. After years and years of patience, delays, news, rumours and flame wars, the next version of Polyphony Digital’s Real Driving Simulator is finally in our hands. I am a longtime fan of the Gran Turismo series as well as a complete petrol-head, which usually means that if a game lets me simultaneously propel and control …
Kevin Butler is back for yet another incredible advert in Sony’s Playstation 3 campaign. The question this time around: What happens if your kids want a videogames console, but your wife wants a Blu-Ray player? Mr. Butler is more than happy to help a man in need, and yeah, it’s just downright hilarious. Video after the jump. Last Updated: November …
I hadn’t heard of this until recently, but now that I have I’m definitely interested. A small development team (with possibly the best name ever) called Black Pants has been beavering away at a game called Tiny & Big. It looks amazing. The game boasts some serious physics and completely destructible environments. Physics? Completely destructible? I’m totally listening. There’s also …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
