So apparently we are about to be bombarded by secret press conferences and they are going to be announcing a whole range of things To try and sum up the rumours we have the following. 1. New Red Xbox 360 Controller on it's way

By Nick De Bruyne

redcontroller.jpg Hooray! A new controller is on it's way for the Xbox 360 and it's red! Does it make your accuracy better, well... no. It doesn't do anything like that. But it's red! The new package will be coming out at a price of $65 (R531) and if you are wondering why the price is higher than usual its not because red is awesome, it's because the controller comes packaged with a play and charge kit. If you haven't already picked up on my sarcasm, I really don't get the big thing about controllers coming out in different colours. Microsoft seem pretty impressed with it (of course) and had the following to say: "The award-winning Xbox 360 Wireless Controller now comes in red, with newly designed black accents," says Microsoft. "Experience wireless gaming from up to 30 feet and enjoy nonstop play with the included Play and Charge cable and red rechargeable battery." We have yet to see any images of it but we can probably assume that it looks like the usual one, except that it will be red, with black accents.

Backwards Compatibility coming to the 40GB?

By Gavin Mannion

I don’t believe in using the 360 or PS3 to play old games, if you want to play a previous generation game then use your previous console. But that logic has never made sense and it’s more of a personal issue thing for me. Anyway back to the point. I found it be a really strange decision when Sony decided …

European 360 Price Cut Confirmed

By Gavin Mannion

Microsoft has come out and confirmed that Europe is seeing yet another Xbox 360 price cut this year. As off Friday the Xbox 360 Arcade will retail for €179 (R2034) while the Premium is €239 (R2717) and the Elite at €369 (R4 194) I have heard nothing about a another local price cut and I highly doubt we will be getting one*. It …

Burnout Paradise Bike Trailers

By Nick De Bruyne
September 16, 2008

So this week we are getting the third DLC pack from Criterion for Burnout Paradise and once again it is completely free. In this trailer we see the first proper footage of gameplay with the bikes as well as being old the features that will come along with them. While some people may argue that Burnout is getting tired and that the updates could include a little more, I realise that I don't care because once again, It's all completely free. I really hope that more developers follow in Criterions footsteps and start giving more value to their games rather than just looking for ways to scam gamers out of more of their hard earned cash with little extras and gimmicks. Go Criterion.

What could go wrong with LBP

It’s the big question that no one is really allowed to voice yet. What if LittleBigPlanet is bad… The unthinkable is possible, but not likely, and TheSixthAxis has broached the subject and spoken about what could go wrong with LittleBigPlanet. Mainly they are worried about the custom levels and everything that goes around that, however I think the first commenter …

Force Unleashed Reviews are coming in

I see this morning that all the Force Unleashed reviews are coming in and it isn’t looking fantastic. At the time of writing the Metacritic average for the 360 version was 72 while the PS3 version was 67. That is very low for such a highly anticipated game. Last Updated: September 16, 2008

Open Letter to Nintendo

By Gavin Mannion

WiNG over at Screwattack has written an open letter to Nintendo explaining why he has given up on the Wii and moved his love over to the Xbox 360. Now I personally feel the Wii is starting to get a bad rep for no good reason but it had to suffer the consequences of being successful sometime along the line. …
