IGN: Haze Review – Ouch

By Gavin Mannion
May 21, 2008
in :  Gaming

Oh no… this wasn’t what I was hoping was going to happen. The much maligned Haze has started receiving a few reviews and while a few pro-Playstation websites have given it 9/10 or 80% the first major gaming site has come back with an overwhelmingly terrible 4.5/10 IGN has slated every single aspect of the game and stated that the …

In a move that most of the world wouldn’t care less about and us poor gamers in SA will suffer because of, Microsoft has decided to up the size limit of Xbox Live Arcade games to 350Mb… Apparently they have listened to the community and developers and have done this to help everyone. My personal opinion is that it is …

'Officially licensed' Xbox 360 PJs now available

By Gavin Mannion
May 20, 2008

Now it is no secret that there are some proud Xbox 360 owners that visit the site and goad our PS3 owners… however I am not even sure that they would go this far to show their love for their console of choice. Apparently these Xbox 360 pyjamas are officially licensed by Microsoft and at only $17.99 they are possibly …

Geekpulp has put up the latest E3 floor plan which is a nice way to see who is going to be making the major announcements this year. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are all clustered together with MTV making a suprising entrance as well.. I wonder what is up their sleeve? Sony and Nintendo have taken the front row with Microsoft …

So after the disaster that was the triple sign up server crashing MGO experience you would have thought that Konami would have realise there is some interest in their latest product. Well by the look of it they haven’t, that awesome looking gun metal grey PS3 went up for pre-order yesterday and despite having to pay and extra $500 insurance …

By Etienne Vlok  If bi-pedal, autonomous nuclear launch platforms are your thing, you’ve probably played a Metal Gear game sometime in the past decade. With the imminent release of the final instalment of a series spanning 21 years, 15 games (including spin-offs) and 5 platforms (7, if you count the PC and Xbox ports), we plan to take a look …

Skate 2 Teaser Trailer

By Nick De Bruyne

I'm not entirely sure about where to start with this teaser. It's the new teaser trailer for Skate 2 but all I can say is that it's seriously weird. The way this trailer began made me think that at any moment, the developers were going to pull a "Soul Calibur" on us and say that they included Darth Vader and Yoda as playable characters in the game. I'm very excited for this game and I really hope that they don't go too mental when adding new features. If it has anything to do with skating in space, they can count me out. Sure, they are just doing something a little different for the teaser and I'm sure it doesn't actually have anything to do with the game, but the last thing they need is to scare people off with some awkward teaser early on. The song at the end brought it down to earth though, which gives me hope that they are going to do a great job. May the force be with them all.

What’s going on with developers lately? The upcoming Playstation 3 shooter Haze will be yet another game that falls short of the true HD mark. In a recent interview with Free Radical, the developers of Haze made it known that the game will not be hitting the 720p mark. In fact, this game will only be running at 1024×576. Why …
