GT5 vs GRiD

By Gavin Mannion

Here is a user made video comparing GT5 Prologue to the upcoming GRiD…. Personally I don’t want them to compete, I don’t want another SIM racing game, I am way more interested in the destruction derby screenshots of GRiD than any tweaking or painting that I can do to a car.. However that being said it does look like GRiD …

You remembered to trade at least one game with TGX.co.za and get at least one entry into their fantastic competition didn’t you? Not sure what I am talking about? For every game traded with TGX this year you received 1 entry into their free games for a year competition on any platform. So if you trade in two titles and …

"JUST GAME DAMNIT"

By Nick De Bruyne
April 17, 2008
in :  Gaming

Dave, whoever he may be, from SarcasticGamer.com put an article today titled "Next Gen Victory: Who Gives A S***?". The article was brought about by his frustration with seeing an endless amount of comments and posts involving people calling each other mean names and throwing their toys over which console is going to win the Next-Gen war. In his article he asks, "If your console does win, what do you get? Did PS2 users get a certificate, or a medal. Did Phil Harrison crap in a box and send it to them?... Did Dreamcast owners get a bag of lemons?... What I really love is his closing statement. He simply hammered it down in large, lovely capital letters, "JUST GAME DAMNIT!" I know that deep down, everyone wants to know that the product that they have invested both time and money into is winning, and won't die out(*cough* Dreamcast). But I think we are far enough into this generation of consoles to realise that none of them are going anywhere anytime soon, and that we should all just sit back and play whatever the hell we want. Do you own only one of the current consoles? All three maybe? Who the hell cares, as long as your having fun, right. More time should be taken away from flaming and put towards gaming. Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 or Xbox 360 Preview

By Gavin Mannion

1UP has given us a very small preview into the world of GTA IV and by in large it sounds fantastic, but not perfect. Apparently the preview was done on the PS3 [unknown] version, which is not the norm, and there are some framerate issues when the action gets a little to hectic. They also mentioned disappearing cars and random …

PlayStation 3 – Store Update

I mentioned yesterday in the comments section that I wasn’t overly impressed with the PSN store update which is why I posted nothing about it. Apparently that makes me a 360 fanboy so I thought I might as well rectify my oversight. The video above is a GameTrailers.com video review of the new features in the PlayStation store. What really …

Zero Punctuation: Condemned 2: Bloodshot

I have loved Thursday’s ever since Zero Punctuation came onto the scene…. This week he reviews Condemned 2: Bloodshot and in my opinion it is possibly his second best review ever. Nothing beats his console review. If you are not a fan of bad plot spoilers then don’t watch this one, else if you have played the game already or …

bog1.jpg The first ever direct-feed screenshot of Gears of War 2 has made it's way onto the net. The full shot as well as some concept work can be found here . Also check out the preview for Gears of War 2 that they put together to see some of the new characters as well as an interesting piece of concept art for what looks to be the style for the redesign of the popular multiplayer map, Gridlock.

Ireland GTA IV ad makes no mention of PS3? Wait, hang on a sec…

By Nick De Bruyne

Gaming news site videogaming247 had an article today about how the Irish GTA IV television ad makes no mention of the PS3. Hmmm, interesting you might think, what could this mean. It means nothing, thats what. Let me explain, at the end of the advert, we are given the pricing of the game, we are then given the separate price of a console, brought home with an xbox 360 live logo. Now, it is obvious that this is in fact, an ad that has been put out there my Microsoft and not by 2K games or the local distributors in Ireland. So it's pretty simple then, Microsoft wouldn't mention their competitor in an advert that they paid for themselves. How did nobody notice this?
