It stars Sir Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell, Abbie Cornish and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I am part of a very small splinter group when it comes to Star Wars fanboys: I don’t outright hate Episode I: The Phantom Menace. I know that geek society expects me to instantly vomit in my own mouth a little at just the the thought of George Lucas’ much-derided first prequel film, but I really don’t. Kind of. Because …
You know what? I love horror movies. No, that isn’t right. I love GOOD horror movies, none of this Hollywood Poltergeist remake 3D rubbish. Don’t get me wrong, Hollywood has made some damn fine horror movies, like the original aforementioned Poltergeist but for every Shining there are twenty other Jessabelles out there. So let’s turn to Austria for a moment and the (apparently) messed up …
Robert De Niro may once have been a titan of the screen, but the last few years have seemingly seen the 71-year old actor mostly just taking menial jobs to stay busy in his twilight years. Usually when Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow) makes a movie about an event that changes the world, said event is filled with tons of CGI explosions, massive natural disasters and Barack Obama’s house getting destroyed. But with Stonewall the filmmaker is changing dramatic gears, leaving behind his summer blockbuster stylings to tell of a critical moment …

Whether being used to make the movie feel like a stage play (like its earliest usage in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope), establishing layouts (and showing off) like in Panic Room or escalating tension without breaking the action in Children of Men, …
Out of the 3 major comic book movies being released in 2015, the one that I’m actually most eager to see is Fox’s new Fantastic Four reboot. With the other superhero entries being Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, that may seem a little strange, but my eagerness is purely to find out whether all the crazy press the movie …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
